Looking out my window, there is this mountain in Azusa that inspired me to use it in paintings adding ponds and things in the foreground instead of the roof of the home. The hard thing about painting it was making the mountain look separated from the trees in front of it which I accomplished here. I gives it a good 3D feel. The colors were matched to the way it really looked at about 11am. Original is painted on a 16”x20” canvas in oil.
