Original Oil Painting by Jeri McDonald, 11x14 oil primed panel. This was based on a couple of plein air studies and photos near where we board our horses. There are wonderful old buildings and barns like this basking in the warm sun here. I have endless subject matter so my goals are to learn to paint dramatic light and shadow and incorporate buildings of all sorts into my landscapes. Farms are one of my favorite subjects to paint.

Appreciate your use of expressive color and brushwork to draw the viewer into the scene of this and your other recent paintings.  Excellent.
