Well done Joy! Yes it was and thanks for taking the time to comment. I came across it one time while surfing around and printed a small version of it. I went back to look for it again online and I couldn't find it. I know The photo is moodier and looks more dramatic but I wanted a lighter and more airy feel to it so I used it mainly for composition/design. The right foreground and shadows do look a little darker on the actual painting, but not as dark as in the original photograph. Maybe I should try adding some more of the drama back in to it. The distant hill was tweaked to match a well-known local feature that anyone who lives near to where I live would instantly recognise.
