Jan, it is not fault of paper or paint (even thou I used very rough paper for this one). The reason here was lack of time - concentration, vision, planing...and experience. I agree with you that it is possible to paint fabulous waves with watercolors. I will post few of my "better" experiments. Compliments for your great watercolors!
Karlo. Which type or brand of paper and paint did you use? I think that it is possible to paint the same fabelous waves as in your oils, with watercolor.
Still looks nice even though not much definition in the water/beach. So warm!
