Oil on Canvas, 30 x 40 cm; Palette, Titanium White, Ultramarine, Phthalo Blue, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ocre. A challenging workshop - scraped the wave and wash back 3 times before I was happy to call it finished. Thanks for the challenge Richard!

I agree with everyone! This is beautiful, especially the reflections. Great job!
Hi Dorothy - thankyou for that - I see you are a fellow Kiwi or at least live in NZ!
Annie - I loved this painting you did,- good colours and movement and the reflections on the sand really are something great. I would love to have that on my wall - I will have to do another one of this and do a better job.
Thankyou Susan, Jane and Casey for your comments. I've discovered that painting the reflections first and usually darker than you would instinctively do - followed by foam etc over the top works really well for wet sand.
Really a lovely painting - I especially like the way you handled the wet beach.
Love your work.
I love the way you handle the reflections here.
Thanks Joan
Wow Annie, So far this is my favorite! Excellent in every way. Congratulations. Joan
