Somehow, I cannot seem to take a photo that isn't blurry.

Well thank you, Jane. That makes me really happy. I haven't had a chance to peruse the gallery yet. I'm looking forward to seeing what you did.

Hi Nancy, yours was my favorite painting when I looked at the gallery yesterday and 'lo and behold it was yours!  Shouldn't be surprised!

Thank you Jess. Those colors are from my crazy computer. I'm still trying to get it to look like my painting. It's crazy!

Thanks so much, Ann. I am frustrated because on my computer, the colors are close to the painting, but here they are way off...ESP. The bottom half. My camera is just a little digital Cannon. Don't know if it has the F8 aperture. Maybe i need camera lessons as well. I have checked out the video, but probably need to go back and review. I appreciate your suggestion

Great  effort Nancy.  You have captured that tropical atmosphere that I am struggling to paint at the moment.  Have you watched the video on taking photos?  http://thecompleteartist.ning.com/video/how-to-photograph-your-art-by

Good lighting and a tripod is essential. Setting up so that I have to zoom a bit to frame the painting and setting aperature on F8 works for me. :))

Stu, thank you. This photo does not look like the original. it's blurry, and the color is off. I may try to redo the photo. The clouds were fun to paint. And, yes, I did try to include some figures. Brave of me, huh? I loved the people in your painting. By the way, how was your trip to Montreal?

Thanks Dor. I'm glad you agree with me...there just are no turtles in Turtle Bay. Smiles back to you.
