I really like this painting.  The colours are so beautiful and rich.

To answer your questions, my older portraits (Keira Knightley and Jim Caviezel) are painted using soft pastels while my newer ones (Sadie and Mom) are painted using water-mixable oil. I've only started painting landscapes in the last two months, so all my landscapes are also in water-mixable oil.

Thanks Sharon!  I painted this using Windsor & Newton's water mixable oil :D

I used to use soft pastel to paint portraits though

Simply amazing, can't wait to see your still life, so much different than painting scenes.  All your paintings are pastels, correct?  Love the soft, glowing light.

Beautiful, makes me want to be there, you capture the light to perfection.

Thank you Chris, Ann and George! I'm really glad you like it. This was painted on a white canvas.
About the happy face I had to take a closer look hahaha. What's inside the wreath is actually a bow with a glass ball dangling inside. It's so funny you notice a happy face because that's the first time I've noticed it :D
