Not really Gail. 20 of the 30 hours in this painting went to trying to mix colors...and a lot of wasted paint.

Probably lol. I way do a wash over the forest before finishing.

I love the detail in the trees Tim. I have a question though. With all the detail in the forest area, do you think that will distract the viewer's eye from the main feature?
