40 x 50 cm, Acrylics on canvas.
Because I wasn't able to use internet, due to a broken line, I didn't start with the workshop painting. But now that is fixed I'm not sure I have enough time left for the barn with the chickens. So I'll put in my latest painting, finished two days ago.

I was too busy at the time of workshop 11 and missed these wonderful cows :)

I paint since September 2009, before I draw a lot and painted when I was in hospital for 6 weeks in 2001. I never been educated in it, but painted for a short time with two different groups. I just love painting and drawing, it shoots the pain that I suffer 24/7.

You've only been painting for three years? I've been painting for 25 years and still could not do those cows as well as you did.

Hi Beverly, Thank you for your nice comment. Till now I didn't paint many animals only a few chickens, my cat and these cows and a cowportrait. I'm so happy with this painting, it took a while before I finished the cows. Every day I just painted a very smal piece, because I was afraid to ruin it. Maybe this patient, that I normaly don't have at least not enough, is the reason that my painting did come out so beautifully. It is really as if the cows come running towards you. I really think that this is my best painting I've made in the three years that I paint.

I really like this, Rita. You did such a good job of capturing the motion of the cows running toward the viewer. I have trouble with animals, mine always look a little stiff.

Dor, Mary Jo and Jessica, thank you so much for liking my painting. This one is the best I've made in the few years that I'm now painting. Every day when I see these happy cows, I'm happy to.

Jessica, thank you for your lovely comment. You don't know what it means to me, to read your comment say "The realism you captured is incredible". That's for me the cherry on the cake ^_^. I worked hard on this painting, in the hope to make it as realistic as possible, but never thought I would succeed.

Oh my, Rita - I LOVE your cows!  So cute!  The realism you captured is incredible.

Thank you, Mary Jo for your lovely comment, I really appreciate it. They make me smile too, every day when I'm entering my studio. I'm so happy with this painting, it was so much fun to paint. My chickens where fun too to paint, but not half as much as with these cows.

Don't worry about the deadline, you still got till Juli 30, only when you go for the videos or painting, you need to enter at least the 23th. Just have fun with your painting, don't get stressed from chickens ^_^. Next month there will be another workshop, so ...don't worry, you will finish your painting :) Why don't you upload what you've done so far? Then go on with your painting, and finish it in the next week.

I have to say -- I adore your cows.  They make me smile!  I could use that today because this chicken painting is making me crazy.  I'll never make the deadline.
