I want to see if I could do a similar painting and get the flesh tone right. This is from a photograph I Google. Comments welcome.

Nice painting Aurelia, plenty of life and activity here.
Thank you Jessica and Glenys. This is the first time I try my hand at figures. But there is still so much to learn. Check out the figures of Robert Liberace or Slava Korolenkov. The one is super realism and the other is impressionistic. I still feel my work is too stiff. I am looking for that kind of "poetry" their work have. Is it their edges, is it their brushwork, maybe their color harmony? My search continue .....
beautiful, vibrant and lively Aurelia, you are really good with figures, lovely skin tones and the subtle marks to indicate wet skin, perfect!
Wow, this is great Aurelia!
Thank you for your comments. I am so glad Richard did a workshop on figures and skin tones. Looking forward to see your painting Adrienne. I still find it difficult to get the form right - to make it look round and not flat.
really like the colours, well painted
Lots of nice things in there, Aurelia - so lively - vibrant and joyful - you really interpreted the photo - your image is much more interesting - really, really nice, work!
Thank you Rajesh. This was challenging because I am not used to paint figures, but I am learning. I am very grateful that Richard did a workshop on skin color.
Great job Aurelia. I like the beautiful colors and good contrast of light and dark.
