Well spotted Ann - you are the first to make a comment!  

Let me introduce 'Chiminiki Salem' [aka "Mugsie"].  He's an Oriental Shorthair [Havana] and, at 16, is still a real character.... I'm actually typing this 'around' him sitting on my desk! Mugsie lives with 'Mika', our 5 yr old German Shepherd as well as 7 geriatric red hens and, guess who's boss!

I even toyed with the idea of putting him in the actual painting.

Edith, not only do you paint beautifully, but you also really know how to set up a gorgeous still life. :-)
