Dear Iris,

Thank you for you thoughtful comment. It was a challange to follow Richard's lead and actually do several other color sketches, even though I did follow the instructiona guide. Previously I would have tried to paint every color in the Grand Canyon, It's a giant step for mr.

Sharon

Thank you for your remarks about my painting.  I really appreciate your insights and taking the time out of your busy schedule to comment.   It was an adventure to select a small portion of a much larger panarama to paint.  Not just to copy what was presented but to desigh the painting to select the complementary color palet. Thanks again.

Herb,

I love the patterns and the use of two colors to create this majestic painting.  I stood back from my computer screen and I could clearly see the mountains with the purple shadows.  Sometimes I get a little carried away with too many details and the main focus is lost.  The painting of the Grand Canyon is simple shapes with beautiful colors with just the right amount of details in your brush strokes.
