Ann, I will do it according to your suggestion. Thank you so much! Please do point out whatever make you unconfirtable. I understand very well your concern and kindness. But as I am concentrate on improving not achieving, your suggestion will not depress me but cheer me up. I do not have an eye like you. Sometimes, I feel a painting has something wrong, but do not know where and why. Sometimes, I know a painting has a problem but like you , I do not want to be too fussy. When I was learning piano, my teacher did not stop me to tell me where I did wrong. Because she was afraid that I would have no selfconfidence to keep on playing. Anyway, Ann, when you have time to write a comment, please do let me know where I can do better. I need you. By the way, I have to keep your running shoes with me for a while, as I see that bear is still drinking water from the creak. Lol.
Ningning, interesting that you would ask about the shadow. When I studied your painting I thought a shadow would help to keep her from floating down the hill. It would have to be an irregular shadow because of the grass and also keep it soft mid value like your shadow where the path is. Good luck, I didn't want to mention it and ruin your great painting ! I have made a goal to paint each day between Christmas and New Year so wish me luck
Larissa, Many thanks.
Very interesting combination of Tuscany field and figure from Peru! Its not a Monet copy, its -yours! I like it. Nice bright foreground color and dark blue sky! Nice
Jessica, Thank you. An information for you, if you have not come to Peru and climb the mountains yet, the scenery of the mountain area of Peru has a lot of similarity with the photo for this workshop. Even the colour of the house are the same. But the quality and details are different. When I show Richard reference photo to a peruvian, he thought it was Porcon of Peru. So my small brain started to turnning around and added this girl. Having a fun.
Ann, and my dear painter friends here, I have a question, should I put a bit shadow on the right side of the girl? As she is far from my view and the grass is high so I did not do it. But still have a doubt. If you were me , would you do it?
Ann, Thank you so much for you time to write the comment and pointed out what is good in this work. I appreciate it very much , as always. Merry Christmas to you and your family too!
Laura, I am so happy that you like that figure, cute, isn't it.
Thanks, Cristina.
Lovely painting, Ningning - looks like this Peruvian lady is enjoying the beautiful Tuscan scenery!
