Linda,

I, too, have a lot of trouble with value and color. When working I must remember to work as clean as possible, so I don't wind up with what Richard calls "mud." It is a common problem for painters.

Thank you for posting the series of paintings that show a value study.  I'm really having trouble getting the values right.  I do okay until I add color.  Maybe if I tried this it would help.
