Tess, I like your strong  colour contrast . It is nice to make the peppers dark red. It coresponding with the background. If you move your light a little bit aside, the pitcher will get more shadow and make a more interesting value contrast of it.

I agree with Saghi, and the bold simplicity of the design works well with the restricted colour. I like it.
