Hi Laura, This is a very vigorous painting.  Love the action of the waves pounding the surf.

Jessica & Xiao, thank you for the comment!

Xiao, it is a very good suggestion. I will give a few touch up to enhance the painting after it completely dry. I watched Richard demo many times and it looked so easy for him, but when I worked on my own it can turned totally different.

Laura, you have a beautiful painting here, you can feel the power of the wave.  One suggestion.  by the analysis of big waves, the left side of the "eye" should be behind of the "eye", and the right side of the "eye" should be in front of the "eye".  The two sides should have color value differences.  This differences will create variety in the painting to make it less monotone.

Really interesting approach, Laura - very dramatic!  Nice new photo too!

Good Morning Carolyn! I love your suggestion and I can see why. It can make the painting more powerful.

So, if you see me in a street make sure we can be recognized each other :)

Laura, you busy bee artist, I like how you've taken the sea an active turmoil and the new composition. The eye of the wave has become more aggressive (larger) also and the reflections, great. You've darkened all the corners of the painting effectively keeping the viewer connected to the your focal point. Very strong here. Only suggestion has to do with the many small brush-strokes. Perhaps fewer of them in the lighter hue and broader brush in some places? Very nice at it is however. (I, too like your new photo, good to see your lovely face!)
