Wow.  It is impressive. I like the reflected light and wild and wonderful tree trunk!

Hi Steve,

just Photoshop CS5 and a Wacom Intuos 3.

With Photoshop you can create your own brushes and make them really close to real ones.

Under this point of view Corel Painter (the Pro version) is WAY better. The brushes and the way of painting are completely identical to the traditional media, both in the workflow and the result. Check on their website's gallery, it's really nice.

However, the software is so slow and badly engineered for everything else that 99% of the professional artists prefer to stick with Photoshop.

Nice work Paolo! I've tried to do digital painting using "Corel Painter Essentials 4" but found it very difficult to make realistic brush strokes. I used my mouse and my "Bamboo" pad with pen. What did you use to make you brushstrokes with?

It's just another medium:))

Thanks for the nice words!

Just beautiful ... it's hard to believe it's digital ... looks like a 'painting'. Gorgeous!

Hey there,

Sandra, I didn't keep track of time but I think 5-6 hours.

Nancy, yes it was all made on a computer:)

Paolo, did you really do this entire gorgeous painting on your computer? If so, I am even more impressed. Merry Christmas.

Stu, haha no problems, I've made much more embarrassing mistakes because of the auto-correct:)

Thanks everyone!

Chris, I use photoshop, on a iMac. Sometimes I draw things on paper, scan them and just render in photoshop. Some other times I draw directly on the computer, depending on the situation.
