I love how you have created a strong focal point and expertly cut out many of the distractions from you painting.  You have a great eye for composition.  (Love the title too!)

From Wikipedia.

In Norse mythologyYggdrasil (play /ˈɪɡdrəsɪl/; from Old Norse Yggdrasill, pronounced [ˈyɡːˌdrasilː]) is an immense tree that is central in Norse cosmology. It was said to be the world tree around which the nine worlds existed. Its name is generally considered to mean "Ygg's (Odin's) horse".

Nå vet du det, Harald :)

Love the colors in this one and the light you've added into this one, especially the warm sienna and yellow in the front with the contrasting lavender/blue, also the subtle warm colors in the gnarled tree seem to give it depth. Really nice branches too.  I like it!
