thanks, no I didn't use masking on this one....may have used tape for wall edges however.
The whites are the paper....perhaps the computer image boosts them a bit.

yes, on Crescent watercolor board.  This painting just won an award in the South Carolina Watermedia Society's annual show and will tour the state for a year.
