Yep, that's the idea!
Karin Wells had a blog post where she said she often painted the outside corners and edges of the canvas to leave an oval to remid her to blur:soften/darken towards the frame - I looked through her archives but can't find it.
Richard likes a 'spotlight effect' - my thinking was to gently keep the eye towards the center -or way from the dges/being led out, rather)...
Hi Jon, thanks for your input. I'm not sure I understand what you mean, and why it would be best to soften and change the values at the edge. Does this bring the focus more to the centre? Just trying to learn all the little nuances of painting. :)
Lovely subject, Tammy, I'm wondering if there would be a logical way to soften and maybe change the value on the rocks as they reach the edge of the painting?
