What a tough question!!! Today I would say Clyde Aspevig and Paul Klee, but how can I limit my favorites to just two?

Do you have any goals for your painting?

To improve composition, to get faster, to struggle less, to be less intimidated by my own success, to finish paintings more often in one session. My current challenge now is that when I have a painting that I feel is going well, I am tentative to work on it again for fear that I will ruin it. For this reason, I have a lot of nearly-finished paintings lying around.
