LOL, yes tiny jars. Any jar that fit your need for size would work. Just fill with water.//// Great that you are going through RR color class. Did you know you could post your exercises under FORUM / COLOR. I have mine there on page 5&6 I think. I would love for someone else to post so we could go through the course together. It would make it more fun. Ro
I too had a long laps in my art -- about 30 years, except for Sandra's Iris Pic which I did in 2000 in WC. Have you signed up for RR (Richard Robinson's) free lessons? They are very good. You can see them also on youtube. I am going through his color course and I have bought the Master Class. I have looked at both DVDs and am doing the exercises for the color class now. I will post my last 5 value painting of an onion today or tomorrow. Still looking to see if I want to tweek. // I am working toward plein air. I have done a few over the years, but I am really hoping the things I learn in RR color class will take me to then next level using color and values. /// What do you think you learned in the outdoor workshop? Do you think you want to start doing plein air? // Did you know the trick to cover your oils in water to make them last? I used to put them in the freezer, but living in a RV motorhome that just does not work anymore. I scrape my palette and put the little piles along the edge of carmex jars, then fill with water. I have done this for many months and it is wonderful, and no palette to deal with in the freezer. Ro
Excellent, Maureen! Love the word active. What medium(s) do you paint in? I am doing oils at the moment, but years ago I did WC and WCwithGouach. Oh, and I have dabbled in some graphite when some of my friends started going through the book, Drawing on the RT Side of the Brain. I want to do landscapes. What do you enjoy painting? Ro
Hi, I just thought I would pop over and give you a big welcome to the site. I have made so many friends here. I hope you will find new friends and encouragement too. // As a jump start for you, the paintings are under the tab PHOTOS. I encourage you to not only look at the beautiful art, but also take a moment and leave a comment of encouragement. I believe all artists enjoy receiving some feedback from other artist. There will be times when you will be able to leave an idea or a trick that you have learned to be helpful to the person. // I look forward to seeing your art. Ro
