Profile Information

How would you categorize your painting style?: Between Impressionism and Realism. (I am still experimenting, trying to develop a style that works best for me.)

Which medium do you prefer? eg. oils, acrylics, etc.: Acrylics lately, although I have done some oil painting.

Are you a full time artist?: Part Time

Who are your favourite 2 artists?: Pierre Bonnard and Edward Hopper, although I have many favorites.

Do you have any goals for your painting?: To improve and feel more competent, consistent, and a sense of knowing what I am doing. Although I have several successful paintings, lately it has been a struggle for me. I believe I am having difficulty getting into "right-brain" mode; the left side of my brain wants to dominate. I am a fairly competent draftsman, i.e., skilled in drawing, painting has been much more difficult.
