New video of mountains

This is the first time I have tried learning to paint without the artist in the room and I'm finding it difficult trying to keep up and making it look like the artist example. I have re-done this painting at least six times and I just don.t seem to get the perspective right. I think the sky with a bright light is one of the most difficult. I'm also having difficulty getting the grass coming down the side of the mountain to look like it didn't just get placed their. Frustrated to say the least.…See More

I have been painting 42 years or so...........but my suggestion is to paint with NO FEAR!  Get those brush miles in because you learn SOMETHING with every painting.  Even if you learned "what not to do" at least it was something!  I have found I learned a lot just trying to fix stuff and make it work!  You can always post the painting in the gallery and ASK FOR HELP and there will be someone who will do just that.  Then paint another one!

Hi William.  I saw  your message, but not a photo of a painting.  Once I did a video teaching and I watched it all the way through, then I watched the artist do one thing, and paused the video and I did that, then watched him do another thing and paused again.......watch/pause tile the painting was finished.  It is  much easier that way I thought.  Give it a try.  Roena
