Hi Holly. That would be the Texas coast at Port Aransas. We are having a blast. So many beaches, tidal flats, ship channel, ponds.......all stocked full of birds. I am big on birding as well as art.

I have started a painting of a pond with reflections of the trees. Way to much to go see and do here so it is not moving very fast. What are you working on? Ro

Nothing intended when I shared Pat's ocean paintings. I just thought you might like them. You are both outstanding ocean artist in my book. I'm green with envy! LOL Since I am into color, it is a pretty green all over my face. Ro

Hi, I was looking and looking and looking (LOL) again at your ocean painting. It is beautiful. I remembered another friend on an different site that you might like to look at her ocean paintings. They are truly amazing. She has about 5 pages in her gallery so you will have to flip through....I like the ones without people in them the best - just the ocean. It is another NING site so you should not have any problems navigating to see her work. http://community.how-to-draw-and-paint.com/photo/photo/listForContributor?screenName=3lc3yc9phyk6f Let me know what you think. I have seen some of the most amazing paintings and when I ask the person how they did it. They would do some crazy things, then just look at the canvas to see what it looked like and do something. I am still thinking on that. Did I mention to you that my goal is to be a landscape artist. Ro

Holly, I read your introduce yourself comment. Small world as I home schooled our son in the 7-9th grades. When we put him back in school and they gave him a battery of test....he he....they put him right into the 10th grade. Oh, shoot, I got sidetracked helping Don air up motor home tires. Whew, that is so hard. Now, I am off to see your art. Talk soon, Ro (((Keep telling me lies....glamorusssss......love it! LOL)))))

Thank you so much for asking me to be your friend. I accept gladly. Dont be nervous about showing your art as that is exactly what these art sites are for. Ask for help if you are having problems and some one with more experience will give you some things to think about and try. Comment on others arts, and you make friends. I am on my way to check the gallery (PHOTOS) to see if you posted yet. Ro

Hi, I just thought I would pop over and give you a big welcome to the site. I have made so many friends here. I hope you will find new friends and encouragement too. // As a jump start for you, the paintings are under the tab PHOTOS. I encourage you to not only look at the beautiful art, but also take a moment and leave a comment of encouragement. I believe all artists enjoy receiving some feedback from other artist. There will be times when you will be able to leave an idea or a trick that you have learned to be helpful to the person. // I look forward to seeing your art. Ro P.S. I'm on my way to your studio with all my big brushes. We can work on the big brush goal together! I need that too.
