Here is my watercolor painting, I have only done several watercolours in my life, less than I can count on my hand. I added texture to the orange rinds using a palate knife. Lots of layers to get it to look like that.

Thanks for your compliments Li and Perri and Dorian. I appreciate it. I do like this comp but wish I had done it in oil, but wanted to try watercolor. Right now I am painting a still life of 3 roses and a vase. I also am continuing on my large painting 4 x 2 ft. of Mount Rainier, have you seen it? I have it on here. This was a fun workshop with oranges, but I am sitting out the next one in order to finish up what I am working on now. Have fun you guys!
I like this painting Ann! You used a lot of very beautiful color combinations!
Sharen, I did not notice this one. It is a very pleasent painting. So many things happened there. Good compostion. It is lovely to put a blue glass cup to contrast the oranges. I like those flowers too. they are not easy to paint. Sharon, you did a very nice work!
Hi Sharon
Your watercolor painting style is different from other water colors I have seen. This is pretty and once again it is so complicated! Your orange is very real looking.
I tried water colors once, followed some instructions where I had to place rock salt on the paper.............oh that was so many years ago.......... Did you ever hear of such a thing? Smiles to you Sharon.............dor:))
This is a test run... I plan on working more on it. I want more darks and lights and probably crop it some more.
