Hi Adrienne, not sure how I missed this great painting of yours....i also like the landscape format, moss is fanrastic as is the bird. The background with light bursting through is also neat....like very much.

Lovely bird, lovely background! His eye is so much more visible too in this painting, leading us to be able to see his expression more clearly.
He looks like a young kingfisher! And really like the long foremat!
I really like this version; the feathers look really good and the branch is great. The moss on it is very realistic. I understand what Jeri and Jon are saying, but does this detailed mass not also add some balance, I am wondering??
