Interesting composition and harmonized coloure combination and contrast.
Thank you Jessica and Glenys. I was thinking about the tree continue behind the house. A good idea Glenys to connect some elements. Thank you for all the help. I really appreciate it.
I really like your colours and brushwork Aurelia, I think the main thing that would help is to connect your elements in this composition, even the cows somehow. the tree in the distance draws the eye straight away as I feel it is dominant. I would even put part of it behind your beautifully painted little house and make the roof lighter juxtaposing it against the darker tree.
I especially like the warm colours in the foreground, the light on the house & the interesting fences & bushes. Agree about the tree in the back - maybe you can just make it a lot smaller, then it would be less dominating?
Thank you Jon, Joy and Elena for your much appreciated comments. Yes the tree is that dark and smack in the middle :O. I have to rethink my composition. Thank you!
Looks promising, Aurelia! - the contrast seems high - is it the photo? The darks seem very dark - especially the tree next to the house, I also feel that the foreground and mid ground seem a bit separate - not linked (or too high a viewpoint?)... ...that's my two cents - nice color!
If the light is going from the left, probably it should also be at the left side of the front tree?
