Revised painting after comments by Michael Severin and multiple others. I have strengthened the figures and taken out the distracting seagulls and swimmers. Oil on textured panel, 11" by 14"

Thanks Deb. Me, too. Happy New Year. Stu
I do like this one better. Love the help you can get from this blog!
Hi Cheryl and thank you very much for your comments. The painting was all about the beach people and they are the focal point, so I am very happy to have all the input and to have been able to fix my little mistakes. See you next workshop and Happy New Year! Stu
Hi Stu! I agree with your other peeps....your fine-tuning is great. David Dunlop once said about a subject in a scene.."it's very interesting, but not important". You've made the figures important. Very nice! Happy New Year!
Thanks Dor and Happy New Year. Stu
Yes! Love it.......smiles : ))
Thanks for posting Stu ! The changes cleaned up the water and took my attention toward the figures. I now noticed the multiple waves coming into the foreground creating an eye movement toward the figures. Happy painting !
Thanks Michael. I did put a bit more work into this, especially the figures. I will do this theme again, but do a lot more work up front and use this as my starting point. You have helped me a lot. Stu
Bravo!!
