Thank you Lori and Christine ! Your friendship is appreciated. Lori I underpainted it with Transparent Oxide Orange first and then let it dry before putting all that blue purple in. Some of the peachy orange places like the middle path are the underpainting showing thru and the glow is made with a thin application of Cad yellow over the underpainting. Doing it this way helps keep the mud from appearing and taking over a sky ! LOL
Thank you Sharon. I do tend to have a soft style. I don't start thinking that but it seems to turn out that way
it has a watercolour feel to it! Unity sums it up nicely and orange/purple colors are lovely.
Thank you my friends ! I appreciate the time you take to comment on my paintings. I painted the Johannas sunset first from his free video that you can still get on his site. Then I tried my own painting, Taylor MT. It turned out to be a muddy yucky sky. So I scraped it down, painted Richards wk shop and then tried again Taylor Mt. I am happy with the result, I think practice is a great way for me to learn
Wow, Anne, you've been working hard! Michael's comment rings true
I love this one, Ann - wonderful! Beautiful light on the road in the distance!
I like this painting Ann, I think you handled the backlit landscape and sky superbly!! Your painting has Unity ..that is what I like about it.
