Thank you Silvana, Michael and Lori!
Great to get your evaluation here Michael. Silvana, your thoughts about a time limit go into the same direction. I tend to use my increasing speed to paint more details. What i would like to avoid is to edit my plein air work back home. Guess i wouldn't find an end. So i will plan in some time toward the end of the next painting only for simplification.

I always enjoy your work Thomas. Such great brushwork! This piece looks great both in color and in grayscale:)

Overall Thomas, this is a good design, good value structure/notan, good color, brushwork, and depth ..we just don't  need  to be overwhelmed by all the branches ...unless your doing a botanical study of the fallen tree......which I do not think is your concept.

Lol!!! Perhaps you DO have an excess of time do paint all that amount of branches! just wondering...with half the time... you'll HAVE to include less things if you'd like to finish!!! (BTW,  I'd never be able to....it's easy to suggest... !!!)

Thank you Jessica an Michael!
Michael, it's great that to receive your specific suggestions!!!. I see your point absolutely and I am puzzled how to move on. On one hand i want to go out there and just learn to capture the colors, on the other i wonder whether i really learn from my mistakes that way.... Sounds like a good compromise is to occasionally take such study and work out a painting with better design...
