another attempt for the workshop - I wanted a "quiet" sunset - it's based on a scene from the lagoon down behind Montpellier - but I actually stole the cottage (which is very similar to the maisons de gardiens in the Camargue) from the painting my mother has over the fireplace! oil on canvas 55 x 65 cm

Thanks, Sharon!
Nice glow on everything, the house, water, landscape. There is a lot going on in here... lots to look at! Could you do it again in orange? :)
Thanks, Ian. I feel it's a bit "twee"?
Thanks, Ann!
Nice use of limited palette to create a peaceful scene
Thanks, Michael!
Very good Jon. Your compositional lines bring us into the painting and to the figure. The painting is nicely balanced in a steelyard format. Looks pretty good to me, my friend!!:)
Thanks, guys!
Beautiful painting Jon. Love the reflections.
This is a lovely painting Jon. Just enjoy the quiet, beautiful sunset scene.
