Richard, you must be so happy with the paintings this month. I think all of them are remarkable. This was a truly enjoyable assignment, and I think it shows in the submissions. Bravo, teacher!

Thanks for pointing that out. I guess the bright colors are the sun setting on it. I did the same thing.
Hi Sharon, it's a black boat. That's a regulation in Venice actually. Mine could have gone darker red.
Richard, this is confusing, the color of the boat. Is it a red gondola and the blue is the shadow? Please explain so I can continue with mine! Thanks! this is wonderful, but the ends aren't lined up correctly, do you think? Love the lighting and atmosphere and reflections. I'm trying not to paint in a triangle at the bottom of the painting, lol.
