Hey Dee dee... Thank You for posting. You did very well on the trees. One thing to consider....what direction is the light coming from. It seems to me that is coming from the left. Maybe add a little more high lights on the top of the big rocks and a little more on the grass. I would take away the greenish brown to the right (up above) to give more space for the sky. The sky can be fixed. Anyway...im still going at it. Smile.

Thank you for your comments! I appreciate them. I struggled with the sky- for odd reasons. I used a canvas that I had done a warm red under painting on. I have done this before and had great results. This time I felt challenged to cover the under painting, and bits of red bleed through my sky- it wasn't working. I think I will redo the sky entirely.

Hi Deedee I like your design. What distracts my eye are the vertical lines in the sky. it seems as if it is falling down. In natural skies there are sometimes these very high cirrus clouds. They form some kind of lines in the sky, but they would not fall down like this, I think, they would fan out a bit or do other things. Just a suggestion :-) And the stems of the trees left and right of the big rock might need some interruption, like you did in the other trees.

Deedee, nice! One little thing I would change, the rock on the right is a round ball, Love the variety of color in the trees!
