Thank your for that Stu, there must be a lot of story behind those old buildings just like in Australia. there is also an old town called Richmond..
Thanks Steinum. It was probably built in the 1920s. The whole Richmond Village is a quaint East Bay backwater unspoiled by a lot of modern development. I like to paint the buildings there. Stu
Very interesting Stu, reminds me of the old hotels in Australia bush.:)
Full of life, Very impressive. I love your strong colour contrast.
Yeah, those trees aren't too spify. And you know we have some real little cars over here too, like the Cooper Minis and the Fiat Cinquecento (500). Of course, I actually just made the car too small and never fixed it afterward in the studio. I'm glad somebody noticed. This was done in January, and although that's our Winter, it was probably 60 degrees (F) out there that afternoon. Now that it's Spring we're getting most of our rain; good for plein air painters and bad for skiers. Thanks for the compliments Richard. I should have posted my plein air boat from several weekends ago in W30, but my broken color was pretty pathetic. I guess I need this next workshop to get that down, so I will post that. Stu
oh and the blue car is too small brother.
Great work Stu. Just don't like those clumpy brown trees on the right confusing things a little. Otherwise this is mint.
