It's been a busy few days and I have just come back here to see all these nice comments. Thank you so much! I wish I had time to give this another go but I want to go back to the still life lessons after some good advice from Michael S. and there will be a new workshop soon too... There's just never enough time! Some good advice Ningning. If I do find the time, that's exactly the approach I would take. Thanks again!

Julia, This is a very beautiful work. The sky is so difficult to paint . But you did an excellent job, For me it is perfect. The water is far away from the sun less details is ok. The land was under the shower of the golden glowing of the sun with texture of different color, a painterly work, beautiful. The cliff could be darker to show the depth. If the sun were moved back to the left a lttle bit, the water could get more light and colour changes. Again, this is a very fine job and a wanderful painting. I love it.

This is beautiful, Julia. It has such a strong glow. I like the format which allowed you all that space for that incredible sky.
