Yes, that's true.  Color coding is a great idea all the way around.  I'm going to pick up some colored tape and try it.

Darks and lights are easier because you can see the paint on the bristles and tell which it is.   Hard to do this with warm and cool colors -- Maybe red tag for warm and blue for cool or just blue masking tape for cool.

What a great idea, Stu!!!  I am definitely going to try that.  What I do is accidentally use the cool for the warm, or dark for the light, wipe it off as best I can, and paint, However, it never gets clean enough, and I end up with mud.  Thank you for this great idea.

Nancy, I am having the same problem.  One way to do this is to have a different color brush handle for your warms and cools.  You could easily do this with just a piece of tape on the handles of your brushes for either the warms or the cools.   I am going to give that a try!!!  NO MORE MUD!!!

Richard, thank you for your observation.  You hit the nail on the head...I have trouble keeping those cool and warm brushes separate.  Somehow I mix them up.  I think I need to put one in one room, as far away from me as possible, and the other close by.  :-))
