11" by 14" oil on canvas panel -- Port Washington, WI -- painted plein air in middle of a thundershower that brought about 2 or 3 inches of rain. Fortunately I got started just before the deluge began and was painting under a roof between two buildings. This was day one of the Cedarburg Plein Air Festival.

Thanks Steinunn. That sky was the clearest of that whole morning; it was really wet that day. Stu

Thanks Ann and Jessica. I think that I am becoming an all weather plein air painter! Stu

Too bad about the bad weather -  but this is a very convincing portrayal of a stormy day on the waterfront!   Great sky!

This one is my favorite of your paintings. There are complicated angels and lots of movement with a great variety of greys. The stormy weather is annoying but suits your personal style and pallet

Thanks Michael. The weather was pretty awful and the only warm color in the whole marina was that's orange raft on top of the tug boat. The yellow sky at the horizon was there but disappeared around 9AM. The storm dumped about 5 inces of rain and knocked out a lot of power around Milwaukee. Nicer today but real foggy this am and high clouds this afternoon. I painted morning and afternoon again and will post here tomorrow am. Stu
