Thank you, Stu. It was enjoyable painting something besides a pear.

Nice job with contrasting colors Nancy. Your reflected light from the pear and strawberry are perfect. You successfully transferred the learning from this competition. Stu

Thank you, Gambetta. Actually, that strawberry was painted with it's tip facing right. That didn't work. It made the viewer's eye travel right out of the picture plain. On this one, I tried a Richard technique by painting with a lot of terp and drawing with that; then building from that watery mess. It was such fun. Aren't we learning a lot? Thanks again for your kindness.

Great composition! I like how you grouped your fruit and showed the direct path of light. Very nice reflectied color on your fruit and on your surface. Lovely!

Good to see how you thought of the reflected light, its suprising how many people overlook this. blemish on skin looks good. nice work!

Thank you so much, Li. I thought I would give my last pear a try and give it some company. I wanted to see if what I learned from the pear assignment would transfer to this painting...but, I didn't do it in just ten minutes. :-)

Oh, I love this one ! the colors are satuated and rich but not lost the reality as you handled the greys so well. I want to eat that strawberry. Great!!!
