After looking at my "clear" photo, I realized I lost the juicy color..I need a workshop on photographing art work! I beg your patience as I upload the original, yet again..just because I finally didn't make mud for once!! ciao!!

No mud here!  The water is begging me to jump in and play! Your tower and buildings look great and I certainly can see the light on that shore!  Smiles to you ;-)

Wow Michael! Im grinning ear to ear after reading your words! Thanks so much for taking the time to review my painting:) note to self-- lose the squiggles!! I have to thank Ricgard for the early 'deadline' that helped me stop overthinking and let myself let loose and paint!... Of course that was after watching his demo several times and letting the lessons sink in. This time I found the balance:)

Lori, this is so very exquisite!!  Your value and color relationships are so right on!!   I just love the gradation in the water, the luminous shadow colors on the boats ...with all those cools and warms ...You have utilized space so well and your intervals are marvelous.  I love the way you are not showing every darn window in the background buildings ..letting us fill in the blanks.  your transition from the beach to the water is great!!!  I love your paint application ..geez, I love everything about this painting!!!  The ONLY thing I would change is those little squiggly marks you have in the water ....NOT NEEDED and they are distracting.  I love the way you designed those trees in the background ....repetition with variety!!!  Great job.  FRAME IT!!!
