Thanks everyone for your kind words. Sandi, I didn't study the anatomy. I was mainly focusing on the light, form, and contrast. Getting the eye right was crucial to me for the emotional connection.

Dan - beautiful!! Nearly all girls love horses, so the hook is well and truly set for me...however, it is your treatment of the eye and mane without painting every stroke that is wonderful.  Did you study the anatomy?
