Beautiful colour harmony :)
Thanks for your comment Lori. I put the bush in at the right to warm that area and to pull the color of the foreground into the darker trees. The bush also is supposed to keep the viewer from exiting the painting along the eye path between the grass and the dark area. Your eye should then follow the bush back to the focus circle formed by the light highlights of light valley, grey lg rocks and down to light on rocks/grass. A sneaky focus circular composition. At least that is what I tried. Happy painting to you
THANK YOU, My friends ! Its great to read nice comments from such talented artists. Ningning thank you for being my head cheer leader. I value all of your opinions and friendship.
Good detail work in the foreground and love the sky.
That's really nice Ann! Feels very moody and atmospheric. I like the overall darker tones of the fore and mid-ground.
Love it!
definitely one of my fav's as well....
Wow, My... This is sooo Great. My husband said it is Excellent. But I do not think that is enough to describe this work. I love everything in it, the composition, the value control, the colour combination , the shapes and details manipulation, the hard and solft and losing edges, every stroke is well calculated, I can not find any floppy tired brush strokes, Everything, .... You name it. The mood you created by the value contrast is so impressive. I am not a pro, I wish I would... I just love, love , love it. My favoriate, Ann. Congratulations!!!
