12x12 oil on canvas. I found it is quite hard for me to paint this messy area. It is interesting to find out how Richard to paint this. It is not very successful to simplify the scene.

Thank you very much Robin, Michael, Dorian, Walda for your great comments!
Michael, I really appreciate you point out my issues for painting tree foliages. I've always struggled with painting grees, greens. I am thinking to spend some time just to practice painting trees. I saw Bryan Mark Talor's demo he just put light around darkers rather than on the darkers. Thank you Michael again!
I like your painting a lot! Smiles and happy painting to you.............
Laura, As I stated earlier, this is a very good painting! Strong contrasts and color ..can't go wrong. I would like to point out to you that when you establish a dark shape (the shadow on the trees), don't mess with it by putting lights into it ...it fractures that dark shape and its not a shape anymore.
you are surging ahead with your painting Laura in leaps and bounds. Lovely colour!
I am sorry, Laura, I mean"a very pleasant sunny day."
Thank you so much Rose, Lori, Ningning for your wonderful words!
