How would you categorize your painting style?: limited, juvenile, inexperienced, take your pick :-)

Which medium do you prefer? eg. oils, acrylics, etc.: large-ish oils, but am experimenting with watercolor for small and detailed

Are you a full time artist?: Some Time

Who are your favourite 2 artists?: That's an impossible question! Van Gogh, Durer (spelling?), Pollock, Hoffmann, oh, and I love Joan Mitchell.

Do you have any goals for your painting?: Just, get better. Good can wait til later.

I loved painting "Amaryllis", not only because it's in watercolour [my favourite medium], but because it's really satisfying to watch each glaze [new layer] add more depth of colour. I work exclusively with transparent colour, laying glaze upon glaze to build rich tones. Not a very patient person, I work on two or three paintings at the same time ... that way I'm not tearing my hair out watching paint dry - a hair dryer is often put to good use too!

I'm trying to figure out how to make a video of my painting process which, if good enough, will be posted on You Tube.... will let you know.
