Ann, thank you very much for your comments and suggestions! Have been watch JV's video all day. Need tea or coffee now...
I like the warm tree area. You have a nice variety of color in the water but it is a little confusing, try to simplify the elements especially the far water should be simpler and a value lighter. The way that you have painted the light and shadow falling across the water is effective and adds to the warmth.
Hi Cristina, Michael, Olivia, thank you very much for your comments. I always appreciate it.
Michael, great suggesion. It is the key for me. I will enhance the background area. Thank you and Lovely to hear from you again! :)
I like the nice warm colours Laura
Hey Laura, I missed this one! .....repeating some of the others comments: great energy, lots of warm glow, and good comp. Laura, when faced with a large, nondescript shape ..like the cliff in the background, find a way to lesson its stark impact ....change the shape, throw a large tree in front, a cloud shadow maybe, or leave it out completely and just have a distant forest covered hill with hints of a cliff. .....
Lovely movement and brushwork!! Great job Laura!!
Thank you Betsy so much!
