My neighbor has five varieties of roses blooming now. (He is from Ukraine, and his property looks like a forest!) Last week I took photos of all of his roses, and painted this 8 x 6 from one the photos I took. I didn't take this month's workshop, just tried painting them.

Thanks Cristina! Struggling with another try at palette knife painting, then thinking about doing another rose painting for a Let's Paint New Mexico challenge. Looking so forward to seeing the paintings you will be doing now that you are getting back into it !
Marvelous!
Thanks Jess! Went out and took more photos, want to try something a little more colorful...like you guys have done...love yours!
Woops! Kind of think I should have watched the video first before submitting though.
Thanks Marcia, Ana suggested the same thing,
Candi - this is lovely. Your values are wonderful and the colors you chose are subtle and very effective in this piece. Great work. This should be entered into the workshop for this month.
Thaks so much Jessica!
Candi, this is wonderful! I really like the beautiful, subtle colour variations in the rose petals & the bits of blue sky between the leaves! Lovely contrasts & the values are just right!
Candi, same problem I was having ... it finally cleared up ... something is amiss with the site.
