"Unwrapped Clementine II"

This is the 3rd one of these where I have attempted to paint paper with the citrus. I feel I am getting better, it is starting to look like I want it to look.

Learning points:
1. paper...it is not white...it is grey. I used 3 different shades of grey that I added white to from my background color, which is burnt umber and French ultramarine blue. I sketched in a lot of the lines in charcoal first and sealed it before painting...which helped a LOT.
2. hard and soft edges. I blended the paper into the background at places that were farther away. I blended the edges of the orange to give it more dimension
3. shading and light and shadow. I used extreme lights and darks especially with the clementine. I used burnt umber for the dark and cadmium yellow light for the light and cad yellow medium for the medium.
