Oil. 12"x10" same colours as 2nd sunset.
Did this from the original photograph, however, changed to more orange/red.
First time I have undertaken one of Richard's workshops, and decided to do this one as love painting sunsets, and had never undertaken value scales for this type of work. Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Set myself one hour this morning to accomplish the 4 small paintings and sort of achieved, except as said on previous ones, for spilling my coffee (not my fault but my little cat's!).

Beautiful Jen!

Jan, I really like what you've done here with color variation, the soft-hard edges of your clouds and how they dissolve as they move away from the sun, v.s. your interesting darks in the foreground. (4 in one hour?? Amazing and something to aspire to. Sure helps to have confidence in your technical ability and intuitive color usage!)

Beautifully done painting, Jen.   And you thought that you couldn't paint small and loose; refigure that one.  Nice work.   Stu
