I apologise for offending you with the remark of the cow.  It was meant as a joke.. I have removed it !!

Michael, thanks a lot for your thought and suggestion on composition. Yes, such a shape would help to guide the eye into the painting.and strengthen the focus, Sibylle ;-) let us not overanalyze the cow on the very left ;-)
I think the feeling of looseness comes from the use of distinct strokes in the foreground, not because my painting style is very loose. If you want to move into this direction, i suggest you try a few stroke counting studies with simple objects... Apples, cups.... You will be amazed how quickly these influence your painting.

Hey Thomas, real nice!!!   I love the placement of your cows ...not sure about the one with her ass pointing toward us?  Thomas ..do you see the dark tones of grass in the foreground? ....if you put a small dark shape somewhere in the space between that dark shape and the cow, you would really have a nice cruciform composition ..as well as a subtle lead in.  I get the feeling of a cruciform composition anyway, but I think that would reinforce it.  Beautiful loose interpretation ..wish I could do this!!!
