9 x 12" oil on canvas painting. I have not named this as of yet..any suggestions?

Nice vibrant color Sharon.  Your headland sits nicely in the distance ..shrouded in the atmosphere.  Remember that in a color scheme like this, the most intense, high chroma colors will be reserved for the focal point.  The rest of the painting will include the same colors, but more subdued.

That is so true, Carolyn, never thought of it that way... kinda like the volcano erupted or something!  I did enjoy painting this, and am still planning on painting one of my own scenes...already have it picked out, now finding the time...

These vibrant paintings are fun, aren't they Sharon. Well done. I, too am going to try some of those other color schemes...kind of other worldly! With your mountain in the background and the brilliant sky, makes me think of a volcano eruption..."Volcano"? (like your sig :)

I used an orange/blue color scheme, hint of red/green and a touch of purple, and a dash of yellow med.
